Four years ago I got my automatic licence in London, but never used it as there was just no need. After moving to Nottingham, I wanted to convert my licence so that I could use our manual car. In the beginning I was very nervous, but as my instructor explained things and after a few lessons I soon relaxed and my driving was a lot smoother and safer. I passed the test at the first attempt, and I found it was money very well spent.

My gloss driving instructor was really friendly and had lots of patience whilst I was learning to drive. She was very understandable and taught at a pace and in a style that worked best for me in order for me to successfully pass my test.

Being a complete beginner, I was quite a nervous driver but my instructor was patient, friendly and gave me plenty of encouragement. Learning to drive can be hard work but we got on really well, making the lessons much more enjoyable. It wasn't long before I gained confidence and couldn't believe how things that once seemed really difficult became very simple. My instructor was keen to make sure my driving skills were completely up to standard before putting me forward for my test as test day nerves can try even the most competent candidate! I passed my test just before Christmas 2007 - what a great Christmas present!

I was a nervous 'mature' pupil to start, as I had put off learning to drive for 9 years after my first few lessons with others instructors put me off! My instructor was very patient, but was able to push me to challenge myself. Lessons were fun and I picked up techniques, without the 'sarcasm' I had seen from male driving instructors. The day of my test, I was the first one in! My legs were wobbling so bad, but my instructor was a cool as anything and yet again was in an instant reassuring me. I passed first time!
I enjoyed my instructor's teaching so much, that i signed up a few months later for the pass plus course. This was great, as I was able to extend my driving skills with a teacher that I felt very comfortable with, and as always a huge laugh!
Thanks for being a fab teacher, just remember to keep taking the herbal calming drops!

My experience with Gloss Driving School obviously worked well as I passed!!!
My instructor was a brilliant instructor. Instructions were always clear and it was made sure that I new what I was supposed to be before doing it - i.e when trying manoeuvres, we would talk it through at first to make sure I knew each step, however it was never spoon fed which is just what you need otherwise you never really learn. We would stop quite frequently to make sure that if I had any questions, they were answered straightaway and to make sure that she records my progress so not to forget anything by the end of the lesson.
I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Gloss to anyone!!
